About the Global Center for Security Studies
Founded in November 2017 · London
Global Network for Global Security. Promoting peace and security through a global network of experts.
The complexity of today’s security challenges requires extensive exchange among the people who study and manage them, so that new approaches can be developed and original information and policy insight produced. The need to build diverse networks on security issues and challenges is what led to the founding of GC4SS, the Global Center for Security Studies.
GC4SS is a collaborative centre that brings together a multidisciplinary network to study security and related issues at multiple levels. The network includes experts, scholars, policy researchers and analysts from many countries and backgrounds, forming a horizontal, issue-based epistemic community.
In collaboration with highly focused networks on a diverse range of security-related topics, GC4SS encourages a multidisciplinary and multisectoral working environment that produces original ideas, opinions and policy insights on emerging security challenges.
Mission
GC4SS promotes peace and security through collaborative and multidisciplinary networks, providing insight, awareness and alternative thinking on security issues and challenges.
Vision
A safer world, supported by inspired multidisciplinary networks in security studies.
